ApplicationYtterbium sulfate can be used in chemical research, lasers, garnet doping, and X-ray tubes. For example, a flux for steel plating, belonging to the field of metal surface treatment technology, is prepared from the following substances: zinc chloride, sodium chloride, magnesium chloride, potassium chloride, calcium chloride, potassium permanganate, potassium dihydrogen phosphate, sodium tetraborate, lanthanum nitrate, ytterbium nitrate, cerium sulfate, ytterbium sulfate, phytic acid, additives, and deionized water. This flux is free of ammonium and fluorides, achieving smokeless plating, eliminating the environmental pollution caused by ammonium and fluorides, achieving the goal of environmentally friendly plating, avoiding incomplete plating, improving the smoothness, uniformity, and continuity of the coating, effectively reducing the coating thickness, preventing excessively thick coatings, and ensuring the adhesion between the coating and the steel substrate. Furthermore, this flux can be used at room temperature, significantly reducing the manufacturing cost of traditional high-temperature production, and has high value for widespread application.
