| | TRI-N-HEXYL ALUMINUM Usage And Synthesis |
| Preparation | Titanium powder is added to molten aluminum and mixed evenly. The dissolved aluminum is then atomized and sprayed out to obtain titanium-containing aluminum powder. Under inert gas protection and a pressure of 10-12 MPa, the aluminum powder is hydrogenated in a hydrogenation reactor using triethylaluminum as a seed for 6-7 hours. After venting, ethylene is continuously introduced into the hydrogenation reactor under a pressure of 0.5-3 MPa. The reaction is completed within 5-6 hours to obtain crude triethylaluminum. This crude triethylaluminum is then subjected to vaporization distillation and ethylene conversion reaction to remove and separate impurities, yielding TRI-N-HEXYL ALUMINUM. The distillation residue is diluted with hexane, hydrolyzed, and the hexane is recovered. | | Chemical Properties | clear colorless solution | | Uses | Polyolefin catalyst. | | Hazard | Ignites in air at room temperature. |
