2-IODO-3-(TRIFLUOROMETHYL)BENZOIC ACID is a polyfunctional organic reagent that can be used as a pharmaceutical intermediate. The trifluoromethyl, carboxyl and iodine groups present in its structure facilitate reactions such as substitution, condensation and esterification. For example, it can be used to synthesise the monoglyceride lipase modulator intermediate 78 (4-(1H-pyrazol-1-yl)picolinic acid).
