SynthesisImprovement of the synthesis method of diisopropylchlorosilane by replacing ether with tetrahydrofuran allows the reaction to be scaled up to a production scale of kilograms or more. The format reagent of isopropylmagnesium chloride is obtained by reacting 2-chloropropane and magnesium chips in tetrahydrofuran; then the format reagent of isopropylmagnesium chloride is reacted with trichlorosilane, and then the product is obtained by distillation.
