| Synthesis | General procedure for the synthesis of (3-(benzyloxy)phenyl)methanamine hydrochloride from (3-(benzyloxy)phenyl)methanamine: To the (3-(benzyloxy)phenyl)methanamine (1.6 g, 7.6 mmol) obtained in step 204 was added a 3 mol/L dichloromethane solution of hydrogen chloride (5 mL), and the reaction mixture was stirred for 1 hour at room temperature. After completion of the reaction, the reaction mixture was concentrated under reduced pressure to afford (3-(benzyloxy)phenyl)methylamine hydrochloride (1.5 g, 6.0 mmol, 79% yield).
