UsesMultiflorin B (compound 5) is a kind of kaempferol glycoside. Multiflorin B can be isolated from the root of the fern Neocheiropteris palmatopedata. Multiflorin B inhibits nitric oxide production at a concentration of 20 μg/ml with an inhibition of 52%[1].
DefinitionChEBI: Multiflorin B is a glycosyloxyflavone that is kaempferol substituted by a 6-deoxy-4-O-beta-D-glucopyranosyl-alpha-L-mannopyranosyl residue at position 3 via a glycosidic linkage. It has a role as a plant metabolite and an antioxidant. It is a glycosyloxyflavone, a trihydroxyflavone and a disaccharide derivative. It is functionally related to a kaempferol.
