| | Sulfonic acids, petroleum, sodium salts Usage And Synthesis |
| Uses | Sulfonic acids, petroleum, sodium salts is an anionic surfactant synthesized through sulfonation and neutralization. It exhibits excellent penetration, maintaining superior penetrating, emulsifying, degreasing, and cleaning abilities even under strong alkali, high temperature, and oxidizing conditions. It has good compatibility with both anionic and nonionic surfactants, possessing not only excellent emulsifying properties but also good lubrication and rust prevention. It exhibits low corrosivity to non-ferrous metals and minimal irritation to human skin. It can be used as an emulsifier and lubricant in metalworking fluids, and also as an auxiliary rust inhibitor. Furthermore, Used as a stabilizer, detergent, auxiliary agent, and dispersant, finding wide application in petroleum extraction, textile and dyeing industries, pharmaceuticals, and chemical synthesis. | | Toxics Screening Level | The ITSL for petroleum sulfonate has been changed from 0.04 μg/m3 to 0.1 μg/m3 based on an annual averaging time. |
