It is also used as a preservative for parenteral injections. | | Clinical Use | Phenylmercuric nitrate is a mixture of phenylmercuric nitrateand phenylmercuric hydroxide. It occurs as a whitecrystalline material that is sparingly soluble in water andslightly soluble in alcohol.
