Description4-Methoxytriphenylamine is a synthetic material intermediate. It can be used as a strong electron donor, forming a donor–acceptor (D–A) structure with the naphthalimide moiety acting as an electron acceptor, for the construction of highly efficient, near-infrared-emitting AIE photosensitisers[1].

Uses4-Methoxytriphenylamine (P-MOTPA) can be used as a monomer precursor for the preparation of poly-4-methoxytriphenylamine via oxidative polymerization using FeCl3 as an oxidant. Mixture of P-MOTPA and N,Nμ-diphenyl-N,Nμ-bis(4-methylphenyl)-1,4-phenylenediamine can be condensed with paraldehyde to synthesize arylamine polymers for the fabrication of perovskite cells.
