| Uses | (+)-α-Longipinene can be used as a starting material for the synthesis of new terpenoids, (+)-(5S)-5,12-dihydroxy-α-longipinene, (-)-(5R)-5,12-dihydroxy-α-longipinene, and (+)-12-hydroxy-α-longipinen-5-one by oxidation reaction using Aspergillus niger as a biocatalyst.
