| Uses | Naphthol AS Acetate（3-Acetoxy-2-naphthanilide） is a reactive chemical that reacts with basic dyes, crosslinkers, and other compounds. It has been used in the treatment of lymphocytic leukemia cells in vitro. | | Application | 3-Acetoxy-2-naphthanilide also inhibits the enzyme activities of acetylcholinesterase and phosphatases, suggesting that it may be useful for treating myelogenous leukemias. 3-Acetoxy-2-naphthanilide is also used to dye agarose gels in order to visualize DNA bands during electrophoresis. | | Purification Methods | Recrystallise it from hot MeOH and dry in vacuo over P2O5.
