N-Phenyl-9z-octadecenamide Usage And Synthesis
UsesOleyl anilide (Oleic acid anilide) is a toxic agent found in some stocks of toxic oil, which is associated with toxic oil syndrome (TOS). Oleyl anilide is an inhibitor of acyl-coenzyme A:cholesterol acyltransferase (ACAT) (IC50: 26 μM)[1][2].
DefinitionChEBI: The fatty amide resulting from the formal condensation of oleic acid and aniline.
in vivo

Oleyl anilide (0.8 mmol/kg, i.p., twice a week for 6 weeks) induces perturbations in the immune response, and lead to TOS-related immune derangements in female MRL+/+ mice[1].

Animal Model:Female MRL+/+ mice[2]
Dosage:0.8 mmol/kg
Administration:i.p., twice a week for 6 weeks
Result:Increaseed IgG, IgG1, IgG2a, IgG3, IgE and IgG2b levels.
Increased lymphocyte population.
