| Synthesis | Using 4-(1,1-dimethoxyethyl)pyrimidin-2-amine (17.5 g, 95.5 mmol) as starting material, it was dissolved in formic acid and the reaction was stirred for 6 hours at room temperature. After completion of the reaction, the reaction solution was concentrated to dryness.
