| Synthesis | GENERAL METHOD: 2-Chloro-N-phenylacetamide (18 mmol) and potassium iodide (4.4 g, 27 mmol) were dissolved in acetone (40 mL) and the reaction was carried out at reflux for 2 hours. After completion of the reaction, the solvent was removed by distillation under reduced pressure. Water was added to the residue and a solid was precipitated, collected by filtration and dried to give 2-iodo-N-phenylacetamide.
1.5.1. Synthesis of 2-iodo-N-phenylacetamide (6a): operated according to the general method described above, the target compound was obtained in 84.5% yield as a white solid with a melting point of 144-146 °C. 1H NMR (300 MHz, CDCl3) δ 3.86 (s, 2H, ICH2), 7.15 (t, J = 7.4 Hz, 1H, ArH). 7.35 (t, J = 7.8 Hz, 2H, ArH), 7.50 (d, J = 7.9 Hz, 2H, ArH), 7.69 (s, 1H, NH). calculated ESI-MS value 262.0 [M + H]+, measured value 262.0 [M + H]+. | | References | [1] Patent: CN107880037, 2018, A.
