| | Ethyl 3-bromo-4-hydroxybenzoate Usage And Synthesis |
| Synthesis | Step 2. The compound obtained in step 1 was dissolved in anhydrous ethanol and the reaction mixture was heated to reflux for 1.5 hours. After completion of the reaction, the solvent was removed by rotary evaporator to give ethyl 3-bromo-4-hydroxybenzoate as a white solid (3.24 g, 100% yield). The product was characterized by 1H-NMR (CDCl3): δ 8.17 (s, 1H), 7.95 (d, 1H), 7.68 (d, 1H), 4.29 (q, 2H), 1.32 (t, 3H). | | References | [1] Patent: WO2007/75896, 2007, A2.
