Fmoc-Ala-Glu-Asn-Lys-NH2 is a linear peptide composed of four amino acids, with both ends of the peptide chain blocked. It is a selective asparagine endopeptidase AEP inhibitory peptide that can inhibit the cleavage of amyloid precursor protein APP. AEP is a pH controlled cysteine protease that is activated during aging and mediates APP protein hydrolysis.
