Fmoc-Ala-Glu-Asn-Lys-NH2 is a linear peptide composed of 4 amino acids, with both ends of the peptide chain closed. It is a selective asparagine endopeptidase AEP inhibitor peptide that can inhibit the cleavage of amyloid precursor protein APP. AEP is a pH controlled cysteine protease that is activated during aging and mediates the hydrolysis of APP proteins.
