Balixafortide (POL6326) is an effective, selective, and well tolerated peptide CXCR4 antagonist peptide with 16 amino acids in its sequence, including an IC50 of less than 10 nM. Balixafortide has a selectivity of 1000 times higher for CXCR4 than many receptors, including CXCR7. Balixafortide blocked with IC50<10 nM β- Arrestin recruitment and calcium flux. Balixafortide is also an effective mobilization agent for hematopoietic stem cells and progenitor cells (HSPCs), and has anticancer effects.
