As an estrogen receptor agonist, dihydrodaidzein, at micromolar concentrations, activates the estrogen receptor-dependent growth of breast cancer cells. Daidzein, an isoflavonoid phytoestrogenic compound, is found in soybeans, clover, kudzu, and other legumes.
