Coagulation factor XI分子背景
凝血因子XI以酶原的形式存在于血浆中，酶原是一种独特的血浆凝固酶，因为它是由两条由二硫键连接的相同多肽链组成的同二聚体。在血浆因子XI的激活过程中，两个链中的每个链中的因子XIIa（或XII）切割内部肽键，产生激活的因子XIa，一种丝氨酸蛋白酶，由两个重链和两个轻链通过二硫键连接在一起。这种激活的血浆因子XI通过激活因子IX触发凝血内在途径的中期。该因子的缺陷导致Rosenthal综合征，一种凝血异常。
