全长组织因子（TF）是一种跨膜受体，同时也是凝血因子VII/FVIIa的辅因子。除全长TF外，还可通过可变剪接产生缺失跨膜结构域的可溶性TF变体（asTF），该变体可被细胞释放。与TF不同，由于缺乏跨膜结构域，asTF仅具有较低的促凝血活性。组织因子由血管周围细胞（如外膜成纤维细胞）和体表细胞（如上皮细胞）表达，在止血过程中起关键作用，同时也参与多种血栓形成过程。许多癌症（尤其是腺癌）会高表达TF，而肿瘤组织因子高表达与乳腺癌、前列腺癌、结直肠癌和胰腺癌等多种癌症的不良预后相关。
