蛋白结构（Molecular Characterization）
This protein carries a polyhistidine tag at the C-terminus.
The protein has a calculated MW of 18.5 kDa. The protein migrates as 35-45 kDa when calibrated against Star Ribbon Pre-stained Protein Marker under reducing (R) condition (SDS-PAGE) due to glycosylation.

背景（Background）
白细胞介素-18结合蛋白（IL18BP）也被称为Tadekinig alfa，IL18BPa，其功能是IL18抑制剂。IL18BP是一种分泌型蛋白，含有一个Ig样C2型（免疫球蛋白样）结构域。IL18BP没有跨膜结构域，因此没有锚定在细胞膜上。IL18BP在心脏、肺、胎盘和脾脏中强烈表达。IL18BP的异构体A与IL-18结合并抑制其活性。IL18BP还可以作为早期TH1细胞因子反应的抑制剂。IL18BP抑制IFN-γ的产生，导致T辅助1型免疫反应减少。
