生长分化因子15(GDF-15),也称为巨噬细胞抑制性细胞因子1(MIC-1)。单核细胞中MIC-1 mRNA的表达受到与激活相关的各种刺激的上调,包括白细胞介素1β、肿瘤坏死因子α(TNF-α)、白细胞介蛋白2和巨噬细胞集落刺激因子,但不包括干扰素γ或脂多糖(LPS)。在正常和病理条件下,它在心肌细胞、脂肪细胞、巨噬细胞、内皮细胞和血管平滑肌细胞中高度表达。GDF-15在组织损伤和炎症状态下会增加,并与心脏代谢风险有关。GDF-15水平升高与心血管疾病有关,如肥大、心力衰竭、动脉粥样硬化、内皮功能障碍、肥胖、胰岛素抵抗、糖尿病和糖尿病慢性肾病。GDF-15水平的升高与疾病的进展和预后有关。
