IGFBP7 (Insulin-like Growth Factor Binding Protein 7) is a secreted protein belonging to the IGFBP family, though it shares limited homology with other members. It regulates insulin-like growth factor (IGF) signaling by binding IGFs with lower affinity than other IGFBPs, modulating cell proliferation, differentiation, and apoptosis. IGFBP7 also interacts with non-IGF pathways, including TGF-β and Wnt, influencing angiogenesis, fibrosis, and tumor suppression. Its dysregulation is linked to cancers, metabolic disorders, and cardiovascular diseases.

IGFBP7 antibodies are essential tools for detecting and quantifying IGFBP7 in research and diagnostics. They enable the study of its expression patterns, localization, and interactions via techniques like Western blotting, immunohistochemistry (IHC), and ELISA. Commercially available antibodies target specific epitopes, often within its N-terminal domain.
