FAAP100 (Fanconi anemia-associated protein 100) is a critical component of the Fanconi anemia (FA) core complex, a multi-subunit protein assembly essential for maintaining genomic stability. This antibody targets FAAP100. a 100 kDa protein encoded by the *C17orf70* gene, which plays a pivotal role in the FA/BRCA DNA repair pathway. FAAP100 interacts with other FA core complex members, such as FANCA, FANCB, and FANCL, to facilitate the monoubiquitination of FANCD2 and FANCI—a key step in coordinating DNA crosslink repair. Structurally, FAAP100 contains WD40 repeats, enabling protein-protein interactions critical for complex stability and function.

Antibodies against FAAP100 are widely used in research to study FA pathway dynamics, particularly in contexts of DNA damage response, homologous recombination repair, and replication stress. They are employed in techniques like Western blotting, immunofluorescence, and immunoprecipitation to investigate FAAP100 expression, localization, and interactions. Dysregulation of FAAP100 is linked to Fanconi anemia, a rare genetic disorder characterized by bone marrow failure, developmental defects, and cancer predisposition. Additionally, FAAP100 aberrations are implicated in carcinogenesis, as FA pathway deficiencies can lead to genomic instability and oncogenic transformation. Studies using FAAP100 antibodies have also explored its role in hematopoiesis, stem cell biology, and chemotherapy resistance, highlighting its broader relevance in cellular homeostasis and disease mechanisms.
