The TAF5L antibody targets the TATA-box binding protein-associated factor 5-like (TAF5L), a component of the PCAF/GCN5-containing histone acetyltransferase (HAT) complexes, such as the STAGA (SPT3-TAF9-GCN5L acetylase) and TFTC (TBP-free TAF-containing complex). TAF5L plays a critical role in transcriptional regulation by facilitating chromatin remodeling and histone acetylation, which promotes gene expression. Structurally, it shares homology with TAF5. a subunit of the TFIID complex, but functions within distinct multiprotein assemblies involved in RNA polymerase II-mediated transcription.

TAF5L antibodies are widely used in research to study its interaction partners, subcellular localization, and involvement in transcriptional mechanisms.
