This protein carries a polyhistidine tag at the C-terminus, followed by an Avi tag (Avitag™).
The protein has a calculated MW of 40.7 kDa. The protein migrates as 47-60 kDa when calibrated against Star Ribbon Pre-stained Protein Marker under reducing (R) condition (SDS-PAGE) due to glycosylation.

白细胞介素-13受体α2亚基（IL13Rα2）亦称IL13Ra2、分化簇213A2（CD213A2）、CT19、IL-13R、IL13BP，是一种膜结合蛋白，由人类IL13RA2基因编码。该蛋白与白细胞介素-13受体复合物的亚基IL13Rα1高度同源。IL13Rα2能以高亲和力结合IL13，但由于其胞内结构域显著缺失，在功能上不充当信号传导介质。值得注意的是，尽管该蛋白无法直接结合IL4，却能调节IL13与IL4的生物学效应。研究还表明其在IL13的内化过程中发挥作用。
作为细胞表面受体的组成成分，IL13Rα2大部分存在于细胞内库及可溶形式中，因此与IL13Rα1相比，其作为强效IL13拮抗剂发挥相反作用。该蛋白还能通过其短胞内结构域与IL4Rα链的胞内结构域发生物理相互作用，从而抑制IL4依赖性通路。虽然不具备STAT信号传导功能，但IL13Rα2确实能诱导TGF-β产生并促进纤维化发生。此外，研究报道IL13Rα2在多形性胶质母细胞瘤中存在大量特异性过表达现象。
