Cyclo (CLLFVY) is an inhibitor peptide of hypoxia inducible factor-1 (HIF-1), which is a cyclic peptide composed of 6 amino acids with IC50 values of 19 μ M (in U2OS) and 16 μ M (in MCF-7). Cyclo (CLLFVY) binds to the PAS-B domain of HIF-1 α, inhibiting HIF-1 dimerization and transcriptional activity. Cyclo (CLLFVY) downregulates the expression of hypoxia responsive genes such as VEGF and CAIX, exhibiting anti-tumor effects on HIF-1 related cancers.
