Parsatuzumab is a humanized IgG1‑kappa monoclonal antibody that targets epidermal growth factor‑like domain 7 (EGFL7), a secreted protein predominantly expressed by endothelial cells during vascular development and tumor angiogenesis. By binding to EGFL7, it selectively blocks the interaction between EGFL7 and endothelial cells, thereby inhibiting angiogenesis (the formation of new blood vessels). Additionally, it modulates vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) activity, further suppressing tumor vasculature. As an immunomodulator, it may also influence the tumor microenvironment. It was developed as an anti‑angiogenic agent for the treatment of advanced solid tumors, with clinical studies focusing on colorectal cancer.
