Cemiplimab is a fully human monoclonal antibody used as an immune checkpoint inhibitor for cancer treatment. Marketed under the brand name Libtayo®, it holds the distinction of being the first FDA-approved systemic therapy specifically for advanced cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma (CSCC), a common type of skin cancer. Its indications have since expanded to include non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) and basal cell carcinoma, both in advanced or metastatic settings, where it is used either as a monotherapy or in combination with chemotherapy.
