Lasioglossin I is one of three novel structurally related fifteens-peptides named lasioglossins, isolated from the venom of the social bee Lasioglossum laticeps. LL-I exhibits potent antibacterial activity against both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, with low hemolytic properties, mast cell degranulation activity, and the ability to kill various cancer cells in vitro.
