Lasioglossin II is one of three novel structurally related fifteens, known as lasioglossins, isolated from the venom of the social bee Lasioglossum laticeps. LL-II exhibits potent antibacterial activity against both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, possesses low hemolytic activity, mast cell degranulation activity, and demonstrates the ability to kill various cancer cells in vitro.
