[Pro3]-GIP (Rat) is a high-affinity partial agonist peptide of the rat GIP receptor, consisting of 42 amino acids with a Kd of 13 nM. It can enhance cAMP accumulation in COS-7 cells transfected with the rat GIP receptor, thus serving as a competitive antagonist of GIP.
