Dacetuzumab (also known as SGN-40 or huS2C6) is an investigational humanized monoclonal antibody that was developed for the treatment of B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphomas (NHL) and multiple myeloma. It functioned as a CD40-targeting therapeutic, designed to modulate signaling through this important immunoregulatory receptor. Clinical trials evaluated its efficacy as a single agent and in combination regimens for patients with relapsed or refractory lymphoid malignancies. Despite initial promise, its clinical development was ultimately discontinued as it did not demonstrate sufficient efficacy in later-phase trials to warrant further development for these indications.
