Lunasin is a biologically active peptide consisting of 43 amino acids and an acidic peptide with antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, anticancer, and anti-aging properties. Lunasin can be isolated from soybeans. Lunasin also has epigenetic mechanisms associated with histone acetylation. Lunasin can be internalized into cells and inhibit the formation of Oncospheres in cancer cells.
