Ac - (d-Arg) - CEH - (d-Phe) - RWC-NH2 is a highly efficient and selective β - MSH derived melanocortin 4 receptor (MC-4R) agonist peptide with sub nanomolar potency, similar in sequence to Setmelanotide. The binding affinities for human MC-4R, MC-1R, MC-3R, and MC-5R were 0.55 ± 0.06, 16.78 ± 1.53, 56.79 ± 4.66, and<500 nM, respectively. Subcutaneous injection of H-6268 into diet induced obese rats daily for 14 days showed an effect on reducing fat mass.
