Aquaporin-2 (254-267), pSER261, human is a 14-amino-acid polypeptide fragment of human aquaporin-2 (AQP2) Ser261 phosphorylation. Protein phosphorylation plays a crucial role in vasopressin signaling in the renal collecting duct. The phosphorylation of several AQP2 residues (including Ser256 and Ser261) is altered in response to vasopressin. Both sites may participate in vasopressin-dependent AQP2 trafficking.
