Description
Ciclesonide (CIC) is a corticosteroid prodrug that is converted to its active form, desisobutyryl-CIC (des-CIC), by cellular esterases. Des-CIC is a glucocorticoid receptor agonist (Ki = 0.31 nM). Inhaled corticosteroids, including CIC, are used to ameliorate symptoms of airway inflammatory diseases, such as asthma, allergic rhinitis, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.Related product price
