1,2-Bis(dicyclohexylphosphino)ethane Chemical Properties, Uses, Production

Preparation

Under anhydrous and oxygen-free conditions, dicyclohexylphosphine chloride was used as the starting material to obtain dicyclohexyldiethylaminophosphine through amino protection. Then, dicyclohexyldiethylaminophosphine reacted with diethylcadmium to obtain bis(dicyclohexylphosphine)cadmium intermediate, and finally reacted with dichloroalkanes to synthesize 1,2-BIS(DICYCLOHEXYLPHOSPHINO)ETHANE.

1,2-Bis(dicyclohexylphosphino)ethane can be used as a ligand for:

  • Pd-catalyzed decarbonylative C-H coupling of azoles and aromatic esters.
  • Ni-catalyzed cross-coupling reaction of aryl fluorides and primary amines.
