Biological Activity

Selective, non-competitive NMDA receptor antagonist (IC 50 = 5 μ M); binds to the receptor-associated ion channel and prevents glutamate-induced Ca 2+ influx. In vivo, displays neuroprotective activity and is reported to be brain-penetrant.
