Acid violet 7 Chemical Properties, Uses, Production
Chemical Properties
Deep red powder. Soluble in water, aqueous solution is bluish red to red, adding concentrated hydrochloric acid is magenta; adding sodium hydroxide solution is orange-brown. Slightly soluble in ethanol, acetone and ethylene glycol ethyl ether, insoluble in other organic solvents. Bluish red in concentrated sulfuric acid, bright red after dilution; red solution in concentrated nitric acid, then turn orange. When stained with copper ions, the color is slightly dark blue; when stained with iron ions, it is slightly light dark blue; when stained with chromium ions, the color is less affected.
Uses
Acid Violet 7 is a dye/stain. Dyes and metabolites.
Preparation
N-(4-aminophenyl)acetamide diazo, and 4-Acetamido-5-hydroxynaphthalene-2,7-disulfonic acid coupling.
Properties and Applications
red light purple. Deep red powder. Soluble in water is blue light red to red. Slightly soluble in ethanol, acetone and soluble fiber element, insoluble in other organic solvents. Meet strong sulfuric acid is blue light red, diluted is bright red; Meet nitric acid solution for scarlet to orange. Its solution and strong hydrochloric acid is product red; Add sodium hydroxide solution is orange brown. Dyeing copper and iron ion in its colour and lustre the former micro blue dark, the latter slightly shallow, encounter chromium ion little influence. Good levelness. Used for wool, silk, polyamide fiber and leather, paper, soap, wood, medicine and cosmetics of dyeing, can also be used for the biological dyeing.
