Uses
DFB is an allosteric potentiator of mGluR-5.

ChEBI: Bis(3-fluorobenzylidene)hydrazine is an azine and a member of monofluorobenzenes.
Biological Activity
Novel allosteric potentiator of the metabotropic glutamate receptor mGlu 5 . Devoid of agonist activity itself, but potentiates (3-6-fold) the action of agonists at mGlu 5 without any effect at other mGlu subtypes (EC 50 for potentiation = 2-5.3 μ M).

3,3'-Difluorobenzaldazine (40-100 nmol; icv) attenuates the locomotor hyperactivity, motor incoordination, and cognitive impairment induced by Ketamine[2].
