2-PENTYNOIC ACID Chemical Properties,Uses,Production
Uses
2-Pentynoic Acid is a chemical reagent used in the preparation of various organic molecule. Used in the stereoselective synthesis of vinylstannanes. In addition, it is used in the synthesis of spiroindolines derivatives.
Application
2-Pentynoic acid serves as a precursor in coupling with iodobenzene to prepare aryl alkyne carboxylic acids, and reacts with iodobenzene, Na2S·5H2O, and DBU to yield (Z)-3-(phenylthio)pent-2-enoic acid[1][3].
It reacts with morpholine and paraformaldehyde to afford the corresponding product[3].
It serves as a starting material to afford 3,4-dichloro-5-methylfuran-2(5H)-one[2].
