Description
Azido-PEG5-succinimidyl carbonate is a PEG linker containing active azide and succinimidyl carbonate moieties. The azide can undergo copper-catalyzed Click Chemistry reactions with alkynes, DBCO and BCN. The succinimidyl carbonate is a good leaving group and commonly reacts with amine nucleophiles. The 5 PEG unitsr increases the water solubility of the compound.
Uses
Azido-PEG5-succinimidyl carbonate is a PEG-based PROTAC linker that can be used in the synthesis of PROTACs[1]. Azido-PEG5-succinimidyl carbonate is a click chemistry reagent, it contains an Azide group and can undergo copper-catalyzed azide-alkyne cycloaddition reaction (CuAAc) with molecules containing Alkyne groups. It can also undergo strain-promoted alkyne-azide cycloaddition (SPAAC) reactions with molecules containing DBCO or BCN groups.
