Magnesium thiocene is a very useful reagent for introducing cyclopentadienyl groups into transition metals.

Synthesis
Ethylmagnesium bromide and benzene and ether reaction can be removed from ethane and obtained magnesium bromide (C5H5MgBr), two molecules of the latter at 220 and 10-2Pa can be shrunk to a molecule of magnesium bromide and obtain dichromate magnesium. And magnesium metal and isoprene at 500 reaction can also take off H2 and get magnesium dichromate.
