Acid Yellow 42 Chemical Properties,Uses,Production

Chemical Properties

Bright yellow powder. Soluble in water, aqueous solution is lemon yellow. Aqueous solution added concentrated hydrochloric acid, concentrated sodium hydroxide, the color does not change. Soluble in ethanol is lemon yellow, slightly soluble in acetone. Lemon yellow in concentrated sulfuric acid, the color is unchanged after dilution. When stained with copper ions, the color becomes slightly reddish dark, when encountered with iron ions, the color becomes dark green, when encountered with chromium ions, the color remains unchanged.

Uses

C.I. Acid yellow 42 is an acidic yellow dye that can be adsorbed and removed by bentone.

Preparation

Mainly used for wool dyeing and can be used for wool, silk and glue directly printing, has the good discharge sex, can be used for the polyamide fiber dyeing and leather shading.
