H-Lys-Glu-OH Chemical Properties, Uses, Production

Description

H-LYS-GLU-OH (also known as lysylglutamic acid) is a basic dipeptide containing two amino groups and two carboxyl groups. Studies have shown that this compound exerts a significant immunomodulatory effect on both young and aged rat spleen cell cultures, stimulating the proliferation of undifferentiated T lymphocytes (CD5⁺) and B lymphocytes (CD20⁺) [2]. Furthermore, this dipeptide can serve as a starting material for the preparation of various derivatives, including diketopiperazine derivatives and ε-guanidino derivatives [3].

Lysylglutamic acid is a dipeptide formed by combining two amino acids, Lysine (Lys) and Glutamic acid (Glu). The Ki value of the membrane transporter PEPT1 was 1.3 mM[1].
