Synthesis

Lithium Diethylamide is synthesized by treating diethylamine with Phenyllithium or n-Butyllithium or, alternatively, by treating diethylamine with Lithium metal in the presence of Hexamethylphosphoric Triamide or an electron acceptor.1,2
