bequinostatin A Chemical Properties, Uses, Production

Description

Bequinostatin A is a naphthoquinone originally isolated from Streptomyces and a glutathione S-transferase pi 1 (GSTP1) inhibitor (IC50 = 0.6 μg/ml for human GSTP1).1

Uses

Bequinostatin A is a benzo[a]naphthacenequinone metabolite that can be isolated from Streptomyces sp. MI384-DF12. Bequinostatin A shows considerable inhibitory activity against human pi class glutathione S-transferase (GST pi)[1].
