Verproside has been shown to inhibit TNF-α-induced MUC5AC expression which aids in preventing oversecretion of mucus in asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease patients.

Animal Model:	Specific pathogen-free female BALB/c mice aged 8-10 weeks^[2]
Dosage:	30 mg/kg
Administration:	Intragastrically; 48 hours
Result:	Reduced significantly the immunoglobulin E (IgE) levels.
